Nineteen students from Mr. Cochart's tech ed classes at Bay Port recently earned their welding certification as a result of a school-business partnership. NBC26 reported the story.

Devon Hucek, a junior International Baccalaureate English Literature student at Bay Port, won first place in the "Letters about Literature" writing contest. As Wisconsin's winner, Devon will be asked to read her winning letter at an Awards Ceremony in Neenah at the Fox Cities Book Festival on April 25. Additionally, she will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card, various books, and a framed certificate of achievement. Congrats Devon!

Devon is the second straight winner to hail from Bay Port. Last year, Becca Karpenko won first place in the same contest.

Ashley Grzywa (Bay Port High School Class of '09) was a member of five-person University of Maryland team that took home top honors at the 2015 Urban Land Institute Hines Competition in New Orleans. The Maryland team edged teams from Harvard and UW-Madison in winning the national competition and its $50,000 prize. Click here to read more.
