Beth Ruh Named Golden Apple Winner
Forest Glen Elementary physical education teacher Beth Ruh was honored with the Golden Apple award today in a surprise ceremony at the school. Michelle Hansen from the ShopKo Foundation and Michelle Melby of Fox 11 presented the award to Ruh to a chorus of cheers from her 4th grade class. Ruh was among seven teachers and teams honored today from a pool of highly-talented nominees. The Green Bay Area of Chamber of Commerce will host the Golden Apple Awards April 22.
Alec Ingold: Always a Pirate, Now a State Champion
Bay Port senior Alec Ingold became the 13th wrestler in school history to win a state title, with his 9-2 victory Saturday in the 220 lbs. weight class. Included among the 13 state champ wrestlers in school history is Alec's father, Pat. Congrats to the Ingolds!

Bay Port Alum DeMerit presents at TEDx Vancouver
Bay Port High School alum and former Pirates soccer star Jay DeMerit presented at Vancouver's TEDx event recently. His topic was "being ready for your sunny day" on his life experiences as a professional athlete. Watch the presentation here.
