The Bay Port High School Dance team took first place in Jazz and second in Pom at the WACPC State Dance Championships Feb. 7, 2015 in La Crosse. The Pirates were among 13 teams competing at the Division I level in the event. Below is a link to their championship Jazz routine.

The Howard-Suamico School District is embarking on a $3.5 million educational campaign to enrich student experiences, expand faculty and staff learning opportunities, and enhance facilities, Superintendent Damian LaCroix announced today. Under the leadership of volunteer community leaders, the Upward Together: Howard-Suamico Education Campaign is a 12-month targeted fundraising effort aimed at elevating the school system to another level of excellence.

The Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials selected Howard-Suamico School District Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, Betty Zimdars, as its 2015 School Business Official of the Year. The award was announced last week at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards state education convention in Milwaukee. Highlighted among numerous professional accomplishments during Zimdars’ 27-year career at the Howard-Suamico School District is an active streak of 15 consecutive years winning the Association of School Business Officials Meritorious Budget Award.

Bay Port alumni change e-mails, jobs and locations making it hard to keep up with them. The Howard-Suamico School District has contracted with Harris Connect to update contact information for our alumni so that they can keep up-to-date on news, activities, and events. Harris will also help produce a hardcover publication that will allow alumni to reconnect with old friends as well as network professionally. Although everyone on the class rolls will be included in the alumni directory, no one is under any obligation to purchase a directory.
